Comparison

NV Order Editor vs Cleverific vs OrderEditing.com

Three Shopify apps that let you edit a placed order. Here's what each one actually costs, what it includes at that price, and where it's the stronger pick.

Checked 16 September 2026

If a customer emails five minutes after checkout asking to change an item, or an order needs a correction Shopify's own admin won't let you make directly, you need an order-editing app. The three most-installed options — NV Order Editor, Cleverific Order Edit & Upsell, and OrderEditing.com — solve the same core problem in different ways and at very different price points. Prices, ratings and feature lists below are what each app states on its own Shopify App Store listing, checked on 16 September 2026.

Editify (Edit Orders, by Booster Apps Legacy): Editify is no longer available on the Shopify App Store — its listing now reads "This app is not currently available." It's mentioned here only because merchants still search for it as an alternative; don't install it expecting current support.
Verdict

Which one should you install?

Cleverific and OrderEditing.com are the established options: hundreds of reviews between them, post-purchase upsells and address validation NV Order Editor doesn't offer, and pricing built for stores already doing meaningful order volume. If you need those specific features today, they're the safer, proven pick. NV Order Editor is the newer, lower-cost option: a free plan for real ongoing use (not just a trial), paid plans starting under $10/month instead of $59–99, and a cancel-and-recreate flow for the edits Shopify's own API refuses — quantity, tag, PO number, shipping and metafield changes without the per-edit or per-order-volume pricing. It's the better fit for smaller stores that want direct order editing without committing to a $59+/month plan before they know how often they'll use it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What happened to Editify?

Editify (formerly "Edit Orders" by Booster Apps Legacy) has been removed from the Shopify App Store. Its listing states it isn't currently available and directs support questions to Booster Apps Legacy directly. If you have it installed, plan to migrate before it stops working.

Is NV Order Editor really free?

The Free plan (20 orders/month, order creator, one-click duplication, draft autosave) is for ongoing use, not a time-limited trial. Cleverific and OrderEditing.com both require a paid plan after their trial period ends.

Which app handles edits Shopify's own API can't apply directly?

NV Order Editor detects these automatically — a different customer, a price change on an already-fulfilled line, a currency change — and offers to cancel the order and create an exact replacement, with a note on both orders' timelines explaining what changed. Cleverific and OrderEditing.com don't document this specific flow on their listings.

Why is NV Order Editor so much cheaper than Cleverific and OrderEditing.com?

Cleverific and OrderEditing.com price for scale — high order volumes, post-purchase upsell revenue, address validation, and years of reviews and support infrastructure. NV Order Editor is newer and prices for smaller stores that need direct order editing without volume-based or per-conversion fees.
