Product Overview

A Shopify solution page for Order Validation & Automation

Order Validation & Automation connects to your Shopify store and listens for new orders. Each order is checked in real time against the rules you define — from simple checks like unusually high totals to duplicate detection that compares the new order with the customer's previous orders. When a rule matches, the app runs your chosen actions in order and logs everything on a built-in diagnostics page.

Catches duplicate orders by comparing new orders with previous ones — same email, same product, same address, same total.
Flags risky orders automatically: unusual totals, mismatched billing and shipping countries, specific payment gateways, and more.
Every check and action is logged, so you can see exactly which orders were evaluated, which rules matched, and what ran.

Benefits

Benefits for Shopify merchants

Stop reviewing orders by hand

Instead of someone watching the order list all day, your rules run automatically on every new order, around the clock.

Catch duplicates before they ship

Compare each new order against the customer's recent orders — last 1, 2, or 5 orders, or all orders from recent days — and flag or hold likely duplicates.

Act in the right order, safely

Chain actions per rule: tag first, then cancel or hold. Already-cancelled orders are never re-cancelled, and quota limits never block your orders.

How It Works

A simple merchant-facing workflow

1

Install the app and create rules with the visual builder — pick order fields, operators, and AND/OR logic. No coding required.

2

Choose what each rule compares against: a custom value, or the same field on the customer's previous orders for duplicate detection.

3

Add one or more actions per rule: add tags, cancel the order, or place fulfillment on hold.

4

When a new order is created, the app evaluates your active rules instantly and logs the full result in the Diagnostics page.

Use Cases

How Shopify merchants use it

Detect duplicate orders where the same customer ordered the same product to the same address within the same day.
Tag high-value orders (for example over $500) with REVIEW so your team double-checks them before fulfillment.
Hold fulfillment on orders paid through specific gateways or shipping to specific countries until they are manually approved.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What order details can rules check?

Order total and subtotal, customer email and phone, shipping and billing address or country, products, SKUs and vendors, discount codes, order tags and notes, payment gateway, shipping method, financial status, PO number, and more.

How does duplicate order detection work?

A rule can compare the new order against the customer's previous orders instead of a fixed value — for example, flag the order if the same email ordered the same product to the same address today. Comparison windows include the last 1, 2, or 5 orders, or orders from the current or recent days.

What happens if my store goes over the monthly order quota?

Nothing breaks. The app keeps logging incoming orders but safely skips rule actions until the billing cycle resets or you upgrade. Your orders are never blocked, delayed, or lost.

How is billing handled?

All charges go through Shopify's own billing system and appear on your regular Shopify invoice. You can switch plans or downgrade to the free plan at any time from the app's Billing page — no support ticket needed.
